monday i attempted taking both kids with me to the grocery store. after a weekend away it couldn't wait. i haven't done that in awhile. now i remember why. (in all actuality it wasn't SO bad, i just prefer to go alone!)
i went as fast as i could and decided later that it's better to sort through and use my coupons when i'm shopping by myself.
anyways as we're checking out this older couple approached me and the man handed brooklyn this stuffed monkey. he said he loves playing those arcade games at the end of the checkouts where the hand thingy picks up toys and giving his winning's to little kids.
it was very sweet. brooklyn was very happy and although it didn't make my shopping trip any better it did make it end quite nicely.
i hope that i can strive to be like this man. to give freely. to simply look outside myself and my pocketbook to give purely to see the joy on another's face. it was touching. i hope in return i can spread that generosity to others that this stranger so freely did to me and my family.
