St. Patrick's Day in our neck of the woods is a not just any holiday - it's a super special day at our house - it's Justin's birthday!

Since Justin has been working midnights all month with no days off this holiday weekend consisted of mommy trying to find lots of fun things to do to keep the little ones busy and occupied over the weekend while daddy was home sleeping.

On Saturday the girls spent all morning making rainbow necklaces with Fruit Loops...

Then with our lunch we made shamrocks out of green apple slices...

Sunday morning we woke up to find that no little leprechaun was in Brooklyn's trap :(  Despite the many drawings and notes she had hung on our windows letting them know she had not made a trap and would not keep them - she just made them a bed filled with green felt for them to sleep in :) Although we didn't see one we were however lucky because they did make a stop at our house...we found lucky charms, gold candy, and clover cookies, but the real proof was left behind on/in our toilet :)

On Sunday the girlies spent the morning eating green shamrock pancakes and making birthday cards for daddy.

Then when we got home from church we had one of Justin's favorite dinners, hung out,  and finished the night off with singing, candles, and a yummy green cake :)

We sure are LUCKY to have this fun, handsome, loving guy in our life!!!
