Now that a full week has gone by I think I can finally write this post. Our household has finally pulled through our misery of the Steelers losing the Superbowl. Several times in our married life the Steelers have made it to the Superbowl and EVERY time they had WON. Let's just say it was a sad sad day around our house last Sunday night.
Let me just say that we did all we possibly could to bring on a win. We certainly did our part and fulfilled our duty.
The family was completely covered in black and gold for church that day. Complete with Addison in her cheerleading outfit.
The house was decked out...
The fans were gathered...
The terrible towels were flying high...
The gold and black was seen throughout - even the girls were watching (that says ALOT)...
The appetizers were delicious...
The desserts were even better...
The kids were dressed up, made signs, and although my basement looked like this they were ALL well behaved and stayed up cheering till the very end...
It was a very sad ending to a super fun night. You can't be from Pittsburgh, or have lived in Pittsburgh, or grew up rooting for Pittsburgh, or married to someone from Pittsburgh without being a Steelers fan through and through. They're everywhere and Steelers fans are die hard.
Although they didn't win this year I think we will always bleed black and gold and hopefully another Super Bowl party will be happening at our house once again next year!
