This summer we discovered poor Miss Elle Belle does not get along well with some sort of outdoor bug - we're thinking mosquitoes.
One day while at my parent's lake house she poor little wrist got bit by something and turned red, hard, and swollen. After dose after dose of Benadryl we learned it didn't really help and only time finally worked to make it go away.
Then a few weeks later she got a bite on her forehead :( It created a big swollen mass in between her eyes. Justin thought she looked like she came straight out of the movie Avatar!
Again, the Benadryl didn't really do much but this time we did have her looked at by our doctor and got her on a prescription for a possible infection. The swelling eventually went down but not before it hit her eyes as well :)
Poor baby! Looks like from here on out she will be doused with bug spray whenever we go outside!!!
